Admitting, Accepting and Embracing Who We Truly Are

In the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) community, telling family and friends about one's sexual orientation is something that happens only once. But “coming out to ourselves”—and becoming comfortable with who we truly are—can be a process, not an event. Being adopted, our sexual orientation, being abused as a child,  the loss of a job, and other life experiences can often leave us with guilt, shame, regret and the need for forgiveness--of ourselves and others. Coming Out to Ourselves asks us to look at what we believe about ourselves and others, and change what no longer serves us, let alone makes sense to us.

When we do change our perceptions and our judgments, we start healing the cause of the negative and destructive feelings within us—which many believe are at the core of all forms of substance abuse (food, drugs, alcohol, spending, hurtful relationships)—and begin to make life choices that really are in our best interests. .

The book is a journey into your heart, where you can heal, forgive and truly come out to yourself.  This can be the most important journey you will ever take.

The book is now available directly from Rev. Jerry, as well as through Balboa Press, and  (ISBN 978-1-4525-5883-7.)
